Watermelon is a platform for people to generate extra income based on their skills/possessions. On the buyer side, watermelon provides people to services/items for a fraction of the cost. For example, a ticket holder for a stadium can sell a one-time pass to other watermelon users. Another example would be an MBA student who can promote doing a financial rundown for people on the platform to generate income on the side. It is a one-stop destination for services/items for people in Europe.

I built the Watermelon WebApp which is the main interface through which users can buy/sell items/services on the platform. iOS/Android still in development mode.

How to play:
Find a wormhole and figure out how to enter it and escape from the VR simulation. Use LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys to change the frequency of your radio station. This will help you change the length of the wave which is rendering your artificial existence.

Helpful tips:
Only working in big resolutions for now (16:9). Try reloading if the game is crashing.

CampSite's main goal is to help local business thrive in an increasingly competitive world. In recent years big companies such as Starbucks, McDonalds and Tim Hortons have found incredible success in the mobile ordering pickup sector. They have done so by spending large sums of money on app development to meet their needs. At CampSite we imagined a platform that could enable any food business to have the same possibilities without needing to spend upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars in application development. At CampSite, we do this by providing a platform for cafes, restaurants and food trucks to host their mobile ordering pickup solutions. This means that we allow any food service to upload their menu and set up their banking information through our CampSite Dashboard and instantaneously have the capability of accepting orders for later pickup.
This means that food services don't have to go through the hassle of taking orders and payments, which takes time and money. Instead, they can focus on making the food and you let us handle the rest.

At the Turing Club we believe in democratizing AI/ML knowledge on campus by creating a place for people to collaborate and learn. I am currently president of the club for third year in a row and guide ~95% of the workshops.We hosts workshops for students from all types of majors at UBC, where we teach them how to implement and understand ML algorithms. Thanks to the team at the Turing Club we have been able to hosts around 20 workshops per year plus social events.

The Turing Club also separately has its research division in which members are brought together with some execs to either produce a paper on a topic or build a product that uses ML/AI.

Here are some of the workshops:

1. Financial Analysis: Built an LSTM algorithm that predicted stock prices using Keras and Scikit-Learn. We useGoogle Collab as the environment.

2. We've hosted several Image Recognition workshops where we have trained Convolutional Neural Nets (CNN's) to predict faces and digits (MNIST). Used TensorFlow and Scikit-Learn, using a virtualenv and jupyter notebooks.

3. We used Keras and Google Collab to build an LSTM that generated Kanye West-like lyrics. We used as data all Kanye lyrics from ~2006 onwards (Data taken from Kaggle)
